"Blackwater / Open Blue" is a large format picture book of photographs taken by renowned Scott Gutsy Tuason from expeditions around the world. Featuring groundbreaking work in the area of Blackwater macro photography, side by side with epic open water pelagic photography of whales, sharks and more.

Photographs taken while in Maldives on expedition with The Hydrous. Conducting coral bleaching surveys and documenting the effects of the 2016 El Nino had on the reefs. In addition, Rick helped document Kathryn Berry's study of micro-plastics presence in the Maldives. Rick works as a photographer, designer and ambassador for The Hydrous team.
